We
Built the Tina Batt Trail on National Trail Days weekend, June
2-3, a 2-mile signature trail loop to honor the Muir Heritage
Land Trust's Founding Executive Director, Tina Batt. Perched high
upon the Franklin Ridge, the trail overlooks world class views
of the Carquinez Strait and Mt. Diablo on one of the Muir Heritage
Land Trust's premier properties, Sky Ranch. The Muir Heritage
Land Trust in partnership with VOCal hosted over 300 volunteers
in carving this 2-mile trail from start to finish in less than
48 hours. Groups of 6-10 people, each with its own crew leader,
worked hard, had fun and together created this new spur of the
Bay Area Ridge Trail. Our sincere thanks to all those involved
for their wonderful efforts on behalf of our entire community!
